Online Resources

 

The EECCOA Challenge online resources are a compilation of websites with tools, reading materials, and examples of other campus greening initiatives. The documents contain lists of resources for Energy Efficiency, Water Conservation, and Waste Reduction to inform and inspire students to develop project proposals to make their school campus more sustainable. The Matilija Dam and Extreme Heat documents include background information and resources to inform students to develop outreach campaigns to increase public awareness and understanding of the removal of the Matilija Dam or about extreme heat and heat related impacts in Ventura County.

How to Use These Resources

The tools are meant to increase students' knowledge of sustainability and inspire them to take action. The examples provided can be used as a source of ideas. However, each project proposal submitted to the EECCOA Challenge must be designed to fit the needs and characteristics of each school using the information collected during campus assessments.
